Gloves

Gloves come in a variety of styles. Some are the gauntlet type with lots of bead work. Others are just plain gloves for everyday use. When I sew gloves, I use artificial sinew which is much stronger than regular thread so that you can be sure that the seams will not come apart.

Gloves are usually made from Moose hide or Deer hide and are sometimes lined with flannel. Gloves made from home-tanned Moose hide are the best and longest wearing, however, availability is uncertain. If you really want a pair made from home-tanned hide, please contact me concerning availability.

I also make mitts for adults or children. Some of the nicest ones are made from white deer hide. These are very warm and comfortable, especially in the cold weather. White deer hide is more expensive than the regular tan-colored deer hide so this will be reflected in the price of the finished product.
